Dr Sharif Tabbah, commonly know as Dr Reef, is a Physical Therapist, Certified Strength & Conditioning specialist and the co-founder of Athletix Rehab & Recovery. Dr Reef has been in the health and fitness industry since 2003 when he entered the field as a nationally certified personal trainer, which sparked a passion and resulted in a dramatic change in career path from business to fitness.
Dr Reef specializes in orthopedics and sports rehabilitation, with years of experience both treating and training a variety of populations including countless professional athletes from the National Football League, National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, Women’s Tennis Association, USA Olympics teams, NCAA college athletes, Fédération Internationale de Football Association and more. He has helped develop multiple successful NFL and NBA Draft Prep programs as well as NFL, NBA and MLB off season programs over the years. His work has been featured by NFL Media, ESPN, Good Morning Football, Bleacher Report and many other sports media outlets.
As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Dr Reef utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to returning athletes to high-level performance through a combination of manual rehabilitative therapy along with strength and conditioning to help patient’s reach their goals and quickly return to sport or activity. He has demonstrated consistent innovation in the fitness industry and has become recognized as a leader in the world of stability training and injury prevention with his multi-systems approach. His unique use of the BOSU ball in his rehab and performance programs has caught the attention of thousands of fitness professionals and consumers alike.
