All Courses are 4-hours in duration and composed of both practical and lecture components. A Host facility could schedule up to 2 Courses in a day, with a 1-hour break in-between. Be prepared for lots of activity, new education that you can apply on Monday, and fun throughout.
Do I need to bring equipment to the Course?
No. All BOSU® products are provided for the Course. Here’s a list of suggested items to bring along: water bottle, towel, extra shirt, jacket, smart phone or tablet to view digital manual, pen/notebook, and lunch/snacks.
Can I attend a Course even if I’m not a Fitness Professional?
Yes. The Courses are designed to teach how to safely & effectively train yourself and others using the BOSU® products and are not limited to a specific profession. The majority of the participants are Personal Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors, however, many others can benefit from the education such as Sports Medicine/Physical Therapists, healthcare practitioners, fitness facility owners, and fitness enthusiasts to name a few.
What if I’ve deleted or can’t find my Course Registration information?
Please keep your email confirmation and have it handy when you arrive at the Course. Your registration will also be in our system and your name will be on the Course Roster. However, it’s always best practice to have your own registration as a back up.
Which Continuing Education Credits are earned from a BOSU® LIVE (or On-Line) Professional Education Course?
Fitness professionals can earn CEC/CEUs with the completion of a BOSU® Professional Education Course from the following organizations:
- PTA Global
- canfitpro (CFP)
- NOTE: ACSM accepts ACE CECs
Please check each courses description for specifics on the number of CECs an organization provides for completion of each BOSU® Professional Education Course.
How do I receive my Certificate of Completion and Continuing Education Credits (CECs)?
Within 48 hours after completing a LIVE Professional Education Course, you will receive an electronic version of your Certificate of Completion, which can be printed for your records and redeemed for CECs. All CEC information, including the provider number and amount of credits earned, can be found at the bottom of your Certificate of Completion.
What if I do not receive my Certificate of Completion within 48 hours?
Nine out of ten times missing Certificates of Completion end up in one’s spam/junk email folder so we recommend looking there first. If it’s not in those folders, please reach out to our customer service for assistance: [email protected]
Will I be certified by BOSU® after I complete the Course?
At the end of the Course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion from BOSU®, which recognizes your ability to apply the knowledge and newly learned skills into your role as a fitness professional.
These BOSU® U Courses are comprehensive Continuing Education courses rather than Certifications, and can be applied toward the credits needed to maintain nationally recognized Certifications.
Are there special product discounts for Course attendees?
Yes. Course attendees can purchase BOSU® education, product and gear at discounted prices. Those who complete our professional education are part of our BOSU® U Alumni and are eligible for various benefits such as exclusive products and discounts, only available to those within BOSU® U (i.e. Alumni, Master Trainers, and Host Facilities). What is BOSU® U?
BOSU® U, short for BOSU® University, is the professional education arm of the BOSU® brand. The curriculum concept is that each new course builds upon previous courses and is the "thread" that runs throughout BOSU® U.
The curriculum structure is based on having a Foundations (101) Course where subsequen Specialty (201, 202, etc.) Courses can be layered. The Foundations Course will serve as the prerequisite to the Specialty Courses. It’s imperative to understand the core principles and methodologies in the 101 Course before advancing into the Specialty Courses. They will build upon each other, and have logical interconnected pathways.
We continue the BOSU® U and curriculum approach by using an academia system to codify accomplishments. Our Foundations Course graduates will join us as Alumni. They can advance throughout the levels of Associates Alumni, Bachelors Alumni, and Masters Alumni. Each one will include deeper discounts and benefits for the Alumni.
How do I move to a higher level in BOSU® U and what are the benefits within each level?
Associates Alumni = Completed the 4-hour Foundations Course and qualify for 10% off BOSU.com
Bachelors Alumni = Completed the 4-hour Foundations Course plus one Specialty Course and qualify for 20% off BOSU.com
Masters Alumni = Completed the 4-hour Foundations Course plus two Specialty Courses and qualify for 30% off BOSU.com
